Case studies:

Non-destructive testing (NDT) management software

As Webtechnika, we strive for long-term cooperation with our clients, and those who decide on long-term projects become our most valuable partners. An example of such cooperation is Navitest, with which we have been building and developing software for managing the non-destructive testing process for over 9 years.

Diagnosed problem:

The purpose of creating the software was to implement the circulation of documentation regarding the results of non-destructive testing, which helps detect structural defects, such as corrosion centers, microcracks or structure violations. This solution contributes to the improvement of the research process, exchange of information between the involved entities and generates a final report with research results.

Scope of work:

  • creation of Ariadna - non-destructive testing management software;
  • aktualizacja Ariadny do wersji 3.0:
    • change of Python version from 3.6 to 3.10, Django from version 2.2 to 4.1.7 and update of 24 accompanying packages);
    • adapting the database to new requirements, including transferring data to the newer PostgreSQL;
    • interference with 61 files of existing code;
  • extension of unit tests;
  • instance verification by Navitest employees.

We are currently planning to integrate the software with other systems used by Navitest partners, which is the next stage of project development.

Automation of the order process from partners

Diagnosed problem:

The company received orders from its partners using various systems. The order processing process involved repeated manual checking of these systems, which resulted in the need to manage many logins, passwords and people who had access to them.

Scope of work:

  • creating a machine that regularly checked whether there were new orders from partners;
  • eliminating the need to log in multiple times to different systems;
  • increased security level - partners' logins and passwords have been embedded directly in the software;
  • ensuring proper control of access to the system using roles and permissions.

Effective work time management

Diagnosed problem:

In our company, we encountered difficulties with the effective recording of programmers' work time on projects and the correct recording of hours worked. Regardless of the work time tracking tools available on the market, the company decided to develop its own internal solution, integrating it with existing products such as Taiga (taiga.io)

Scope of work:

  • creation of the Webtechnika Time Tracker (WTT) application for effective project management and optimal use of employee time;
  • integration with Taiga (taiga.io) eliminated the need to manually assign projects and tasks, automatically downloading them from the platform; this improvement avoids inaccuracies resulting from discrepancies in project naming and saves time;
  • functionality of assigning work hours to each employee, viewing absences and controlling work on projects;
  • access to a general summary of employee results allows for accurate monitoring of working time, effectiveness and efficiency, thanks to which you can make personnel and management decisions with full knowledge of the team's work;
  • implementation of a module for presenting hours worked for contractors;
  • integration with an internal CV generator, allowing you to download projects and tasks, which facilitates the creation of professional employee portfolios.

Diagnosed problem:

Companies often face challenges related to the efficient and rapid creation of commercial offers and contracts, which are crucial in the sales process. These problems include lack of consistency in documents, difficulties in tailoring offers to individual customer needs, and significant communication delays that can lead to the loss of potential orders. Additionally, managing price updates in a dynamic market environment can be troublesome and time-consuming, especially when it involves manually entering data into systems.

Scope of work:

In response to these challenges, Webtechnika has developed specialized online software for creating commercial offers, which allows the company's owner to manage the entire process. This solution enables salespeople to access the system from any location, allowing for the rapid generation of attractive, personalized offers for clients. These offers are automatically sent to clients via email, significantly reducing the time needed for communication and enhancing the efficiency of sales processes.

The system also offers the ability to generate contracts along with commercial offers either immediately or at a later time, according to client needs. An additional feature is the statistics module, which enables the analysis of sales effectiveness and monitoring of results. Updating price lists is easy and intuitive, either through importing Excel files or directly in the database, allowing for real-time adjustment of offers to changing market conditions.
